ISH symposium
The Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute will hold the second ISH symposium entitled “Applications of In Situ Hybridisation in Research and Disease” on the 17 & 18th May 2017. The first symposium took place in May 2015 and was very well-received by speakers, delegates and sponsors alike.
Once again, we have secured excellent speakers and urge you to take a look at the attached programme.
Programme (41.1 KiB, 485 hits)
This two-day conference is intended to bring together researchers across a diversity of fields interested in ISH. We have lined up a broad range of topics from leaders in the field including: Current Accepted Methods, Evolutionary Biology, Emerging Techniques, and Translational Research.
We will also have a short session entitled ISH Clinic, where talks will be entirely selected from submitted abstracts. This is an opportunity to give a short presentation on interesting results, a troubleshooting case study or a top tip you would like to share. Presentations should be 5 minutes each with a maximum of 2 PowerPoint slides. There will then be a networking event during the evening drinks reception for you to discuss your presentation with other delegates. This is ideal for a first presentation at an International Symposium. Please email julia.jones@cruk.cam.ac.uk if you have any questions about this.
The deadline for registration and abstracts is 23rd April 2017
Please see http://www.cruk.cam.ac.uk/ISH2017/home for full information.
Registration is open until the 23rd April (or earlier if the conference reaches the 200 person capacity) and is £200 including refreshments, lunch and hot buffet dinner. Chosen abstract speakers will be notified by 28th April.
We have 5 graduate student bursaries available. This will cover the cost of registration (but not travel or accommodation). To apply for a bursary, please email a word document outlining your work and why you should be considered (in no more than 200 words) to julia.jones@cruk.cam.ac.uk. Open to all graduate students (except those within the CRUK Cambridge Institute). Applications for bursaries must be received by 30th March 2017.
