Pathology of Laboratory Animals in Biomedical Research
Module 1 : Pathology of the Mouse and Rat
The Fondazione Guido Bernardini (FGB) and Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) are proud to present an international workshop on spontaneous, experimental and comparative pathology of laboratory animals. This is the first of a series of laboratory animal workshops dedicated to individuals preparing to take the ECVP and ECLAM certification and to veterinary pathologists that have a special interest in laboratory animals. Mock tests will be prepared by experienced trainers.
The first module will include lectures, demonstrations, microscope sessions, and mock examinations particularly focused on pathology of mouse and rat. In the following years emphasis will be given to other laboratory animal species.

The participants will have the possibility to present and discuss macroscopic and histopathological cases with renowned pathologists from leading research institutions. Focus will be also given to modern imaging technologies.
