ECVP – From simple evaluation to multidimensional multiplex image analysis
The ECVP Task Force New Technologies and Innovation is very pleased to announce the next webinar.
On Thursday 7 January 2021 at 16:00-17:00 CET, Dirk Schaudien from the Fraunhofer Institute, Germany, will present “From simple evaluation to multidimensional multiplex image analysis”
Abstract: The evaluation of immunohistologically stained glass slides by the human eye has some advantages and disadvantages compared to computer analysis. Both types of analysis are affected by pre-analytical influences of tissue processing and staining. In the last years the possibilities of computer image analysis had increased massively including evaluation of distances to cells, neighborhoods of different cells as well as alignment of consecutive slides and multiplexed images and their analysis. This talk will focus on reasons of possible variabilities in your analysis, comparison between human and computer analysis and will end with an overview of advanced analysis of multiplexed images and multidimensional analysis of glass slides.
