BURSARIES
DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS: WEDNESDAY 30th JANUARY 2019
BTS Bursaries – For the 2019 Annual Congress the BTS is awarding bursaries to pre-doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers (maximum 3 years from their PhD) who are members of the BTS. Applications should be made using the form on the BTS website (Awards and Prizes section) and submitted no later than the 30th January.

UKEMS Bursaries – For the 2019 Congress the UKEMS provides bursaries for students, postdoctoral and industrial members (Note: UKEMS student membership is free of charge) to attend the Congress. Applications should be made using the form on the UKEMS website.

BTS EARLY CAREER INVESTIGATOR AWARD 2019
DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS: THURSDAY 31st JANUARY 2019
This award is made in recognition of leading contributions to toxicology by Early Career Investigator (within 10 years of PhD).
Eligibility
• No more than 10 years postdoctoral (or 14 years postgraduate) experience by January 1st 2019
• Current member of the British Toxicological Society Nomination for the award must include the following:
~ A full CV
~ Four recent and scientifically relevant publications where the applicant has a first or senior author position
~ A description (up to 1000 words) of the candidates achievements to date
~ A letter of recommendation from the Head of Department or another Senior Toxicologist

The winner must be available to present their work at the 2019 BTS Annual Congress – April 15-17th 2019. Following the presentation the winner will receive a £250 cheque and a commemorative certificate.
The winner will be invited to submit a paper for publication in the journal Toxicology Research.
Registration for the Congress will be waived, travel and accommodation allowances provided.
Applications should be submitted to the BTS Secretariat by 31st January 2019.
Applications will be considered by the Scientific Sub-Committee (SSC) in December and the winner informed after ratification by the Executive Committee.
