BSTP – Experimental Pathology Slide Review Webinar
In response to numerous requests from BSTP members, the BSTP has organised a (pilot) case webinar on the Thursday 8th June 2017, showing cases of spontaneous and induced changes in laboratory animals (rodents, rabbits, dogs, NHP and mini pigs) and would like to invite you to participate.
Registration is free – to register to attend, please contact the BSTP Secretariat: bstpoffice@aol.com
The dial in details will be provided one week before the webinar.
Registration: For confidentiality reasons, unless you are already known to the BSTP, veterinary students and residents need to register via the veterinary colleges (please refer to submission form).
The aim is to provide continuing education to professionals and veterinary pathology residents, covering changes seen in animal models and induced by therapeutic agents as well as spontaneous or infectious changes, and to bring members of these communities together for discussion. In terms of format, we are planning a 1 hour webinar with 4 – 5 case presentations.
During the webinar, the cases will be presented and diagnoses discussed. All the cases will be provided to participants after the seminar.
If the BSTP are to be able to organise webinars in the future, your support for this event is required!
Case submission: The organisers are still looking for cases, if you would like to present, please submit electronic images together with a short case description (submission form attached). Images and limited background information will be provided to registrants who can review the slides before the webinar via the BSTP website.
The deadline for submission is Thursday 25th of May 2017.
Cases will be presented in PowerPoint. Please prepare the case for a presentation of 10-20 minutes maximum. The presentation should provide background information (as specified in the submission form), brief gross description, brief microscopic description, morphologic diagnosis, contributor diagnosis, differential diagnosis and bibliography.
