14th European Congress of Toxicologic Pathology
The 14th EUROPEAN CONGRESS OF TOXICOLOGIC PATHOLOGY will be held in Barcelona, Spain, between the 20th and the 25th of September 2016 and is now open for registration.

This congress will cover assessment of adversity of preclinical toxicopathological findings in lung, kidney, thyroid, and lympho-hematopoietic systems with consequences on development and regulatory approval of drugs and chemicals. Invited medical and human health experts will address interpretation of preclinical adversity with respect to its translation to human clinical exposures. The program will also present some new technologies to investigate adverse findings in the kidney and immune system. A half-day IATP symposium on juvenile toxicity with emphasis on the adverse and non-adverse theme will precede the main congress. Plenary lectures, oral presentations, interactive panel discussions and case presentations as well as a poster session will provide opportunity for formal and informal interactions with colleagues and friends. New books, innovative equipment and techniques, and contract research organizations services will be featured at the trade exhibition.
Moreover, as a satellite event, the 5th ESTP International Expert Workshop, on the topic “Adversity of Lysosomal Accumulation” will take place after our main meeting at the congress venue and will allow an audience of up to 50 interested registrants. Barcelona, the second most populated city in Spain and the capital of the autonomous community of Catalonia, is a vibrant and exciting venue for this congress. Located on the northeast coast of the Iberian Peninsula, facing the Mediterranean Sea, this beautiful and friendly city offers to its visitors a wide variety of cultural and gastronomical highlights including tapas, pintxos and vermouth. Impressive buildings can be found downtown: from ancient remains of Roman settlements in El Born, to the many famous modernist works of Antoni Gaudí including his masterpiece, the still incomplete La Sagrada Familia Basilica, and Park Güell.
For all participants, the social program will include a welcome reception on the roof terrace of the Avenida Palace Hotel with a great view over the city of Barcelona, and a congress dinner in the Xalet de Montjuïc on top of the Montjuïc park.
