An Advanced Course on Human Health and Environmental Toxicology
This two-week on-campus course is designed for industry, government and educational professionals working or planning to work in the field of toxicology.
Review the chemical structures, principles and mechanisms of toxicology. Apply this information to:
- Mechanisms of action, metabolism, bioactivation and detoxification of contaminants and toxic agents in the environment and the animal kingdom
- Toxicological evaluation of genetic toxicity and carcinogenicity
- Endocrine disruption, causative agents and mechanisms in humans and wildlife
Lectures, practical exercises and case studies taught by faculty from the University of Guelph, Queen’s University and Laurentian University.
