CPD benefits both you as an individual in helping you to achieve your career aspirations, your employer and the tox path community as a whole by ensuring it has competent professionals performing the work.
Although some companies may have a structured development scheme, for the large majority of people working in toxicologic and experimental pathology, their development is for the most part up to them.
Proactively embracing the self-management of your CPD has many benefits:
-
- Shows your commitment to your self development, your career and to the wider tox path community
- Enables you to evaluate your learning and recognise its real value
- Enables you to recognise your knowledge gaps and helps you to address these
- Enables you to plan and achieve your career goals
- CPD is an indicator of professionalism
- Allows you to up-skill and engage in innovate solutions
- Enables you to enhance your employability
