Discussion on urinalysis for NC3Rs workshop
The NC3Rs and the Association for Comparative Clinical Pathology (ACCP) are organising a workshop about the value of routine urinalysis assessment in toxicity studies on 31 October 2023, in central London, chaired by Prof Paul Baldrick (Fortrea, UK). The aim of the workshop is to explore the value of urinalysis and understand how often these data have had an impact on decision-making, with the idea to recommend urinalysis to be performed only on a case-by-case basis.
The workshop will include: introductory talks on methods of urine collection and the value of urinalysis for decision-making; a series of industry case studies from the pharmaceutical and agro(chemical) sectors (with confirmed contributions from ADAMA, AstraZeneca, Genentech, GSK, LabCorp); breakout sessions.
There will also be the option to display posters to showcase refined procedures for urine collection, alternative approaches for functional kidney assessments, or specific case studies. If interested, you can submit an abstract (up to 250 words) during the registration process.
The workshop is free, but registration is essential. You can find more details on our website.
