2nd Joint Congress of the BSTP and ESTP
REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!
Joining forces: the 22nd ESTP and 40th BSTP annual congresses combine to create the 2nd Joint BSTP-ESTP Congress
The 2nd Joint BSTP/ESTP Toxicologic Pathology Congress will be held in Manchester, UK from 23rd – 26th September 2025.
The British Society of Toxicologic Pathology (BSTP) and The European Society of Toxicologic Pathology (ESTP) are pleased to invite you to the 2nd Joint BSTP/ESTP Toxicologic Pathology Congress entitled ‘Carcinogenicity in the 21st Century: Challenges of new methodologies, strategies, and their impact on pathologists’.
Take advantage of the Early Bird Fee and register before 23rd June 2025!
Program: The Scientific Organizing Committee (SOC) comprising both nationally and internationally recognized experts have prepared an excellent program. The invited speakers will review the best practices and the current status of carcinogenicity testing, discuss its limitations, and look to the future for new and emerging approaches including in silico, in vitro and ex vivo technologies for carcinogenicity evaluation of agrochemical and pharmaceuticals. Predicting carcinogenetic potential of compounds at early stages, and carcinogenicity assessment of new modality drugs, and risk assessment and human relevance of neoplastic and non-neoplastic findings will be featured through plenary lectures, oral presentations, case studies, and panel discussions.
ESTP International Expert Workshop: The ESTP International Expert Workshop will take place on Monday 22nd September 2025, in Manchester, UK. The topic will be “Adversity determination of female reproductive findings in animals and significance for humans.” The workshop is prepared by a group of 21 experts from diverse backgrounds in toxicopathology, clinical pathology, reproductive toxicology as well as regulatory toxicology.
IATP Satellite Symposium: The BSTP/ESTP Congress will be preceded by the IATP Satellite Symposium on Tuesday 23rd September 2025. The title of the symposium will be “Pathology Working Groups (PWG) in Toxicologic Pathology”. Pathology Working Groups (PWG) are specialized panels of expert pathologists convened to provide independent, unbiased assessments of specific questions that arise during pathology peer review or presented by regulatory authorities. This symposium will provide valuable insights into the role of PWGs in toxicologic pathology and their impact on risk assessment and regulatory decision-making.
Abstract submission: The BSTP and ESTP invites submission of poster abstracts and case presentations for its 2nd joint BSTP/ESTP Toxicologic Pathology Congress.
Posters: Click here to submit a poster!
Case presentations: Click here to submit a case presentation!
Submission: Abstracts and Case presentations must be submitted online via this submission module. WHY PARTNER WITH BSTP/ESTP CONGRESS AS A KEY SPONSOR OR EXHIBITOR?
The British Society of Toxicologic Pathology (BSTP) was established in 1975 to foster training and advance education in toxicological pathology and to advance pathology for the public benefit. The BSTP is a not-for-profit, registered UK charity organization.
The European Society of Toxicologic Pathology (ESTP) was established in October 2002 with the aim of developing a strong European foundation for toxicological pathology. It is continuing to be a fast-growing society with now over 300 members. The ESTP is recognized as a non-profit organization of public benefit and can issue donations statements for tax purposes
The joint ESTP/BSTP Congress is expecting approximately 250 participants from all over the world to join for the opportunity to learn and discuss scientific and regulatory topics, as well as new developments within our field of drug development, safety assessment and registration of drugs, agrochemical and biocides amongst others, whilst providing a relaxing environment for professional networking. Feedback given by the attendees and participating companies in previous congresses were excellent and they were considered by all to be a great success. Presentations from renowned, international experts, as well as the possibility for everyone to participate in case presentations and talks, help to make the Congress attractive for colleagues from all over Europe and beyond. ESTP and BSTP are especially keen to promote the state of the art education to our members as well as to attract younger generation, residents and early career pathologists, who may be deciding on careers or starting in the field of applied toxicological pathology. ESTP and BSTP are registered not-for-profit organizations and with your financial help as a sponsor, we are able to organize meetings offering a scientific program of the highest scientific standard.
The 2025 congress is organized by the British Society of Toxicologic Pathology (BSTP) and European Society of Toxicologic Pathology (ESTP). The title of the Congress is “Carcinogenicity in the 21st Century; challenges of new methodologies, strategies, and their impact on pathologists.” The program will include new methodologies and alternatives for the assessment of carcinogenicity testing of agrochemical and pharmaceuticals, predicting carcinogenetic potential of compounds at early stages, carcinogenicity assessment of new modality drugs, risk assessment and human relevance of neoplastic and non-neoplastic findings in carcinogenicity studies.
We encourage sponsorship from any organization with an interest/expertise in toxicological pathology. Sponsors will be publicly acknowledged during the meeting and the name and logo of your organization will be posted on our congress website www.bstp-estp-congress.eu as well as in the Congress program.
