There is an opportunity for you to get involved and influence the future of the BSTP!
2020 is another significant year for the British Society of Toxicological Pathology with all of the positions on the Council up for election at the AGM (which was due to be held in November but is in the process of being rearranged) - Junior Vice President, Honorary Secretary, Honorary Treasurer, Chair of the Education Subcommittee and 3 Councillors.
All members who have paid their 2020 membership renewal fees by 1st June 2020 are eligible to be nominated and to vote in any subsequent election. If you are unsure as to whether your payment has been received, please contact the BSTP Secretariat.
The Council welcomes new faces from all sectors of our membership. It is an exciting time to be involved with the future of our society. Whilst we recognise our core strengths in education, there is an open mindedness to new ideas, directions and collaborations. If you would like more information on what the roles involve, or would like help in finding BSTP members to support your candidacy feel free to contact any of the current Council members or the President. Formal nominations for candidacy require the support of three current members of the society and should be submitted to the BSTP Secretariat.
The timing for nominations is as follows:
20th May 2020 - Nomination paperwork sent to all members
1st September 2020 - Final date for receipt of nomination paperwork
2nd September 2020 - Council informed of the need (or not) for an election for any posts receiving more than one nomination
8th September 020 - If required, ballot forms sent to the membership
