Welcome to the web site of the British Society of Toxicological Pathologists.

Photo Competition

This is the winner of the latest newsletter photo competition. The caption reads:

The photomicrograph shows the typical features of acute inflammation within the lamina propria of the urinary bladder of a rat induced by intravesicular acrolein installation. A dilated, congested, capillary with reactive endothelial cells contains marginating, rolling and diapedesing leukocytes. Some leukocytes have made their way into the surrounding oedematous interstitium.”

Have you taken a stunning pathological picture too?  Although we are having a break from the competition, the newsletter editors are always on the lookout for great pictures to grab reader’s attention.  Why not send us a picture of something that got your attention?
