MissionMISSION

The British Society of Toxicological Pathologists was founded in 1985 as an organisation primarily for pathologists working in the field of toxicological pathology. We are a non-profit making organisation and a registered charity.

Our Aim

To advance pathology for the public benefit in all its aspects pertaining to the effects of extraneous substances and environmental agents to which man or other species are exposed by design or adventitiously .

To foster training and advance education in toxicological pathology by providing continuing professional development seminars and educational training modules as a way of ensuring the continuing competence of toxicological pathologists for the benefit of the public.

The Organisation

The society is administered by a Council of eight members with an Education Sub-committee comprising another eight. We regularly provide educational courses and scientific meetings for both members and non-members of the Society.
